Homes we work on in Arvada
Older homes around Olde Town
Small basements and crawl spaces, some with the furnace in a closet. Space is tight, so we measure before we quote any replacement.
1960s and 1970s ranches and split-levels
The house we visit most in Arvada. Many still have a swamp cooler on the roof next to a central air system added later.
New builds in Candelas and Leyden Rock
High-efficiency furnaces, some heat pumps, and thermostats still on their factory settings. The first tune-up usually finds something to adjust.
What we fix most often in Arvada
- Swamp cooler lines that freeze
- A cooler that isn't drained before the first hard freeze can split its water line and flood the roof. Our fall shutdown drains the line, the pan and the pump, and covers the unit.
- Split-level comfort
- Cold lower level, warm upper level. Adjusting the dampers with the seasons fixes much of it, and we show you which ones to turn.
- Builder equipment at ten years
- Homes from the 2010s are reaching the age when capacitors, igniters and blower motors start to fail.
How fast we get there
- Daytime
- Dana starts on the north side. Usually 10 to 25 minutes from her previous call.
- At night
- 30 to 60 minutes.
- From our shop
- 25 to 35 minutes to most Arvada addresses.

Good work on our swamp cooler, but our first appointment got pushed back a day during the August heat wave. Dana called the night before to tell us, which I appreciated.
